ROV Academy

laureaAtlantis Deep Sea Ltd. in collaboration with Star Center Italia is pleased to announce the opening of Atlantis ROV Academy  in Italy with the aim of training the “Pilots of Tomorrow”. Atlantis is member of important world institution - MTS (Marine Technology Society) and SUT (Society for Underwater Technology).The course will follow the IMCA's directives, will run for 2 weeks on a monthly basis. ROV Pilot course will be held from Atlantis' Maritime Assessor / ROV SPV in Italian and English language. At the end of the course, the Maritime Assessor will certify the hours and the competence of each cadet on personal IMCA Logbook and each cadet will receive a ROV Pilot certificate and Personal Protective Equipments.

Academy

The course will be held in 14 days for a total of 144 hours divided as follows:

10 hours per day from 08.00 am to 06.00 pm (Mon-Sun):

6 hours Piloting program (12.00-06.00 pm) and offshore practice.

Team consists of three people who alternate the position of: ROV Pilot - Co-Pilot ROV - Data Recorder.
We will work following the offshore procedures. Every time, we will produce the relevant documents both print and video. For example: Pre/Post Dive- Video Log-Dive Log etc.

At the end of the course each cadet will receive:
14 hours of Piloting certified and signed on LogBook;
36 hours of Offshore Operation certified LogBook;
IMCA LogBook;
ROV Pilot certificate of grade II;

 

 

The practical activity of piloting will take place in the lake in the municipality of Castel Volturno (CE-Italy) where are placed the two containers  1x20' (Cabin Control + LARS) for ROV activity.

 

The maximum number of participants is 6 students.
